Ms. Lauren Payne is an Associate Health Scientist with Benchmark Risk Group. She completed her Master of Public Health in Environmental Health and holds a BSBA in Business Administration and Management.

Ms. Payne’s primary areas of training include risk assessment, toxicology, and exposure science. During her graduate studies, Ms. Payne worked on projects involving environmental exposures to chemicals and extreme heat. Her practicum research explored PFAS and associated bone health outcomes in developmental populations. Ms. Payne’s graduate thesis project analyzed the hazards present in commercially available tattoo ink, the associated health outcomes after subdermal exposure, and the methods used to assess allergic response. In professional roles, Ms. Payne has provided research and technical support to consulting projects that span the beauty, military/defense, and real estate industries.
