Bio

Mr. Raúl Lazcano is a Senior Associate Risk Scientist with Benchmark Risk Group. He completed his MS in Biology and BS in Molecular Biology. Mr. Lazcano’s primary areas of training and expertise include molecular biology and chemistry.

Mr. Lazcano has research experience within the fields of microbial ecology, biogeochemistry, and bioinformatics. Specifically, his previous research focused on assessing the influence of plastic pollution on microbial diversity and activity and the impact of microplastic on ecosystem metabolism. In his current role, he has been involved in providing support in researching and assessing risks in occupational and consumer settings from a variety of agents including asbestos, talc, and pesticides.
