Bio

Ms. Natalia Cherner is an Associate Health Scientist with Benchmark Risk Group. She completed her MS specializing in Environmental Health Science at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Ms. Cherner’s primary areas of training and expertise includes exposure assessment, environmental health, water quality and health, and toxicology. Her graduate research focused on data analysis of environmental exposures and adverse human health effects, identifying susceptible populations in Michigan to harmful algal blooms.

Her professional experience includes working for a county level health department, where she focused on vector-borne diseases, groundwater, and data collection for state programs. Ms. Cherner has been involved in field projects in Jackson, Wyoming and South Africa, in which she focused on groundwater and surface water quality and assisted in data collection and analysis through the University of Michigan Department of Earth and Environmental Science.
